- Custom post type in child theme
I’ve create a child theme with firmasite and everything works perfectly except a custom post type that I created…
<span style=”line-height: 1.428571429;”>I have register a custom post ‘portfolio’ with taxonomy ‘types’:</span>
register_taxonomy( 'types', 'portfolio', $args ); register_post_type( 'portfolio', ....
I have create in /template dir files loop-portfolio.php and single-portfolio.php, but when i call a portfolio page theme return “Page not found” and show page with loop of normal post.
Same thing happens when I call portfolio taxonomy page.
Can you help me?
Its not theme problem, check your custom post type codes. Maybe helps:
Maybe generate codes with this:
and check whats missing in your code.
Btw you have to flush rewrite rules after CPT creation. If you didnt do that in your code, rewrite rules can be manually refreshed by visiting the Settings > Permalinks screen in WordPress’s admin.
