- Some problem with comment posting … ?
Hi there
I decided to turn on comment posting but it seems to have a problem when I use it with Google Captcha (reCAPTCHA) by BestWebSoft.
As you can see on the page http://bit.ly/1UzgNsg I do not know if it has anything to do with the problem, the fields for name, email, site & reCaptcha are below the “Post comment” button.
If you try to post a comment, it consistently gives the error
ERROR: You have entered an incorrect reCAPTCHA value. Click the BACK button on your browser, and try again.
… probably because of the wrong location?
In any case, the order is changed if I use another theme, like Twentythirteen, with those fields & reCaptcha coming BEFORE the Post Comment button.
that comment you see at the bottom was successfully posted that way after switching to Twentythirteen, but the issuecomes back when I switch back the theme, making it impossible to make a post. The error is not from wrong captcha value though. It shows it’s correct, with a “tick”, but all the same creates the error message.
You can give it a try and see …
Is there any way this could be corrected?
I must add, I have no problem with reCaptcha elsewhere on the site, just with comments.
Thank you in advance & kind regards
Hi
Any help?
I disabled Google Captcha (reCAPTCHA) by BestWebSoft for commentry forms & instead installed SI CAPTCHA Anti-Spam and for other reasons have most plugins disabled, including some optimization plugins like “Remove query strings from static resources” & “WP Performance Score Booster“, which I thought may be behind this, but I have the same problem of Captcha & other user info coming below the comment submission button (I dont know whether this matters) and in addition, the captcha image does not seem to get loaded.
UPDATE: the Captcha not loading is NOT limited to this theme BUT the placement of comment poster user info form & submission button are correct in several other themes, including twenty thirteen, fourteen, sixteen & another theme “directory starter”, but not in Firmasite …
This does not seem to prevent posting the comment, but would look nicer I guess. 😉
Kind regards
